Creative Café #10 ★

so it's time for another Creative Café post!!! well, i did promise you one today so i couldn't exactly go back on my promise could i?!

right well, you know what to do, stop what you're doing (i.e. reading this!) and go and make some tea or coffee, some hot chocolate or maybe grab a cup of juice or something, don't forget the biscuits/cake/chocolate!!!

settled down? comfy??? smashing!

anyway, today's feature is all about the work of the very amazing Kathy Hare, a British illustrator based in Essex in the UK

i only discovered Kathy's work recently and just fell in love with her illustrations straight away! you definitely won't struggle to see why i like her work so much!!!

she uses pastels and pencil crayons to create the most beautiful little images full of bursting colours and super adorable characters + exquisite surreal scenes full of magical things. the detail she puts into her work is just incredible though! and each piece is completely unique, it's all so wonderful!

her work is very pretty, delicate and definitely aimed heavily at children, although i adore pretty much all of her work so i'm guessing it appeals to grown-ups a lot too (not that i'm a grown up... obviously. we all know i'll never truly grow up!)

the more of her work i see the more i love it all! Kathy creates scenes so sweet and pretty that it's hard not to like them!

anyway, we also all know that i'll start rambling now if left to it so here's a stack of her pretty illustrations for you to look through at your own pace! enjoy...

just wow right?!
